Instructions for Copying the Book(s) to your device. ==================================================== Note: Once you are finished with these instuctions and you've verified that it works, you can delete the files from your PC desktop. Scroll down to find your device/reader combination. 1. Unzip the files to the desktop of your computer. Scroll down to find your device/reader combination. Kindle Users (Windows PC) 2. Connect your Kindle to your PC via the USB cable. 3. Open Windows Explorer, and navigate to the 'Documents' folder on the Kindle. 4. Drag and drop the unzipped .azw3 file from the desktop into the Documents folder on the Kindle. 5. After the file is copied, you may disconnect your Kindle from the PC. 6. Your new book should now appear as soon as you access your Kindle. Amazon App (Android Devices) 2. Make sure you hav the latest Kindle App for your device. 3. Connect your device to your PC via USB. 4. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the 'kindle' directory on your android (not the Amazon one). 5. Drag and drop the .azw3 file from the desktop into the 'kindle' directory on your device. 6. Once copied, you may disconnect your device and begin reading the novel. Amazon App (Windows 7 and beyond) Note: This is NOT intended for the built-in Amazon App that comes standard on Windows 8 tablets. You will need to download the actual Kindle app from the Windows App store for these instructions to work. 2. Make sure you hav the latest Kindle App for your device from the Windows App store or from Amazon.com: https://www.amazon.com/gp/digital/fiona/kcp-landing-page?ie=UTF8&ref_=kcp_pc_mkt_lnd 3. Once it's installed, go into Windows Explorer, and navigate to the 'My Kindle Content' directory on your computer. You will find it inside the 'Documents' folder. 5. Drag and drop the .azw3 file from the desktop into the 'My Kindle Content' directory on your device. If you drop the .mobi file, you will still be able to read it, but the line spacing and overall format of the book may be skewed. 6. Once copied, you may begin reading the novel. Amazon App (iPad or iPhone) Note: I have only tested this on a 4th Generation iPad, but it worked. http://www.mathsolutions.com/documents/Mobi_to_Apple.pdf iBooks App (iPad and iPhone) Note: I have only tested this on a 4th Generation iPad, but it worked. 2. Make sure the latest iBooks app is on your iPad. 3. Open iTunes on your computer. 4. Find the .ePub file on your desktop. 5. Drag and drop the .ePub file onto your Library in iTunes on your computer. 6. Connect your iPad to your computer. 7. Check under the “Books” tab in iTunes to be sure this .ePub is selected for syncing, then sync. 8. The .ePub document is added to your iBooks collection inside the iBooks app. 9. From now on, you can open the ePub document from the iBooks app on your iPad. Nook Users Note: I do not own a Nook, and have not tested these instructions. 2. Connect the Nook to your computer with the included USB cable. 3. Open “My Computer” on Windows or look at the desktop on your Mac. Nook will show as a drive where the hard drive and other USB drives show. Double-click on the Nook drive to open it. 4. In another window, open the folder where you saved the .ePub eBook file you want to load onto your Nook. 5. Now drag & drop the .ePub eBook file(s) from your desktop to the root of the Nook, or to the “My Documents” folder. 6. After the files are finished transferring to the Nook and before you unplug the USB cable, you must eject the device from the computer. Removing the USB cable before doing this can potentially damage your eBooks and/or the Nook. Simply right-click on the Nook drive and select the undock, eject, or unmount option.
